From brief to launch

Brief

Project Idea

Patients in many regions still navigate healthcare the same way they did twenty years ago, calling the front desk, joining a queue, hoping a specialist has a slot. Records are paper-based or split across hospitals, follow-ups slip through the cracks, and rural users often have no realistic way to reach a qualified doctor at all. The CareVille team wanted to flip this on its head with a consumer Android app simple search, real-time bookings, a credible directory of verified providers, and a telemedicine experience that felt as natural as a video call with family. The product also needed to support home-care visits for elderly patients, post-surgery recovery, and families with young children, care delivered to the doorstep, booked from the phone.

Development

CareVille has become a single, trusted way for patients to access care across formats. Users find providers faster, book real slots without phone tag, consult doctors over secure video from anywhere, and request a qualified nurse at home when they need one. Records stay organised in one place, prescriptions are searchable instead of crumpled, and follow-ups stop falling through the cracks. The deeper outcome is structural by giving patients and providers a shared, real-time source of truth, the app cuts no-shows, shortens wait times, and makes specialist access realistic for families who were previously locked out. CareVille is now the entry point to the entire CareVille ecosystem, from a first booking to a long-term care relationship.

Outcome

The Solution

We built CareVille on the same backend as the provider app, so every booking, cancellation, or new slot updates instantly on both sides. The mobile client handles a unified search experience across hospitals, clinics, specialists, and home-care nurses, with filters for specialty, location, supported services, and verified status. Telemedicine sessions run over WebRTC with audio, video, and chat fallbacks, plus the ability to upload past medical records or symptom photos before the consultation. The backend covers digital prescriptions, secure document storage, push notifications, payment handling, and a moderation layer that keeps the provider directory clean. We also baked in offline-friendly fallbacks, the app remains usable on weak networks, with bookings queued and synced as soon as connectivity returns.
