Instead of rote memorization, Akademus promotes active learning with concise summaries, interactive quizzes, and smart flashcards. By supporting academic texts in Serbian and Croatian, the app was tailored for regional students across multiple faculties, from law and medicine to history and programming.

The development of Akademus was centered on creating an application that was both technically robust and student-friendly. We chose Flutter as the primary framework to ensure a seamless cross-platform experience on iOS and Android. Firebase was integrated to handle essential backend operations such as authentication, real-time database storage, and analytics, ensuring the platform remained scalable and secure. To power the intelligent features, Google Gemini AI was embedded through Firebase integration, allowing the app to process scanned academic texts and generate summaries, quizzes, and flashcards in real time. For monetization, RevenueCat was implemented to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases with automated renewals, enabling the introduction of both Basic and Pro plans for users. A strong emphasis was placed on accuracy of AI outputs, ease of navigation, and security of student data, resulting in a polished product that aligned with the academic needs of diverse faculties.

The final solution was a comprehensive AI-powered learning assistant that transformed the way students approached their studies. By simply scanning or uploading their study material, students could instantly access concise summaries highlighting key concepts, interactive quizzes that tested their understanding, and flashcards that reinforced definitions and important points. The app allowed learners to identify weak areas before exams and focus their efforts where improvement was needed most. Through its intuitive design and localized support for Serbian and Croatian academic texts, Akademus provided a highly personalized learning experience. With subscription-based access powered by RevenueCat, students were able to choose between limited and unlimited usage, ensuring flexibility while supporting sustainable growth for the platform.
